Did you know?

  • The entrance gates were busy last year, counting 171,730 guests.
  • Fair 2005 was threatened with hurricane “Rita”. Though, 52,000 guests came out for four “fun filled” days of Fair and Rodeo events.
  • The 2004 Fort Bend County Fair had more than 152,000 guests pass through our gates.
  • The Fort Bend County Fair is a quality FAMILY EVENT that offers the best in entertainment with a hometown flair.

Proceeds from the 2006 Fort Bend County Fair and the Fort Bend County Fair
Life Membership Fund provided $2,000 scholarships to 30 Fort Bend County
qualifying students. In addition, four Fort Bend County Fair Queen
Scholarships were awarded. Since 1979, the Fort Bend County Fair has
awarded 396 scholarships to students.

Youth education has always been a primary focus in Fair activities. In more recent years, the development of a scholarship program has provided deserving 4-H, F.F.A., and F.H.A. students of Fort Bend County with scholarships to Texas colleges and universities. more on scholarships 

Through the years, the Fair has grown into one of the largest and most successful in the state. Residents of the county still eagerly anticipate visiting with friends and neighbors at many of the activities the Fair has to offer, including the parade, livestock auction and the rodeo.

Survey Facts:

  • The majority of survey participants were part of a family unit, between the ages of 21 and 40, with those accompanying the participants being between the ages of 10 and 40. Both groups were almost equally divided between male and female
  • 82% surveyed had attended the Fair previously
  • The primary attractions to the Fair were the carnival, the rodeo, entertainment, animals, exhibits, food and the BBQ cook-off
  • The Matt Armstrong Show was voted the best and cleanest carnival
  • There were over 700 livestock exhibits and 4100 competitive exhibits at the 2002 Fair
  • Local non-profit groups, including those listed below, earn a large portion of their funds during the Fair
