Kicks Off 2008 with Theme Announcement and Sponsorship Opportunities

- The 72nd annual Fort Bend County Fair has selected the theme for
this year’s September 26th through October 4th event in honor of the
service and commitment of the many volunteers who contribute their
time and talent to the fair. “Honoring Volunteers – Yesterday, Today
and Tomorrow is a tribute to the generations of volunteers who have
helped the fair grow and prosper,” said Fair President Bill Dostal.
“Without our volunteers, our mission that began 72 years ago -
benefiting youth, promoting agriculture and supporting education -
would not be realized. Today, I am proud to say that we continue our
mission largely because of the commitment and service of our
volunteers.”
With work well under way in preparation for this year’s fair,
sponsorship opportunities are now available. Sponsorships range from
$ 500 to over $25,000 and each level contain various benefits
including VIP tickets for concerts and the rodeo, on-site signage
and multiple advertising opportunities. The 2008 Sponsorship Levels
are: Keystone - $25,000 and up; Cornerstone - $20,000; Stetson -
$10,000; Lariat - $7,500; Bandana - $5,000; Duster - $3,000; Chaps -
$1,500; and Boot - $500. Sponsorship books are available by
contacting Sponsor Chair Mary Doetterl at mary@fbcfa.org or by
calling the Fair office at 281-342-6171. Sponsorship information is
also available on the Fair’s website at www.fbcfa.org and the
deadline for 2008 sponsors to sign up is June 30th.
Working on this year’s Sponsor Committee are members Mary Doetterl,
Sponsor Chair, Dia Baltandano, Ronald and Monica Borak, Brandy
Doetterl, James Duke, Rusty Gibson, Michael Gutierrez, Tim and
Colleen Kroeker, Elsa Malakoff-Maxey, Jody Tancred and Vickie
Todd-Autrey.
“Our staff, directors, volunteers, and most importantly, our
generous sponsors, all work together to bring a fun-filled,
educational event to our community,” said Dostal. “We are proud to
host the Fort Bend County Fair dedicated to our community and our
youth, and we invite the community to join us for another successful
year.”
